How does the Access Locum Tenens contract work?
Access provides you with an agreement that stipulates dates, compensation, and other information specific to the assignment. More information on the contract can be provided by your recruiter.
What does Access Locum Tenens malpractice insurance cover?
Whenever you are on assignment for Access, regardless of the duration of the assignment, you are covered for up to $1 million per occurrence and up to $3 million in annual aggregates. Access’ malpractice insurance protects you from covered incidents that occurred during an assignment regardless of when the claim is made.
Does Access Locum Tenens provide benefits?
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Physician Assistants who work Locum Tenens with Access are independent contractors, so they do not receive employee benefits. However, we do offer the option to purchase health insurance from our private carrier for your convenience.
What do I do if something goes wrong while on an assignment?
Your recruiter is your personal advocate. If you experience any problems related to your assignment, contact your recruiter immediately and they will work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. The entire Access team is dedicated to helping you have a positive experience on every assignment.

Yes, many locum tenens providers bring their family or pets along on assignment. Just let us know ahead of time and your recruiter will assist you in the process. Just note that you will be responsible for any additional housing and travel costs for your family members and/or pets.
